Research & Sketching
Hundreds of hours of research underpin Mandala No.1. The initial sketching phase takes time and patience, working through different forms, ideas and styles. Refining the design with each iteration until the foundation emerges.

Inks & Acrylics
Once the form is sketched out it's time to carefully apply colour, using acrylic paints the work slowly begins to come to life. I then use black Inks to meticulously shade and outline the mandala until it's perfected.

Digital Magic & Printing
Mandala No.1 is then scanned and the final layer of magic is added. The image is painstakingly inspected, any imperfections corrected. Before it's Giclée printed onto the highest quality paper for you to enjoy.

In the middle of it all is a homage to the flawless, underlining structure of the universe. Geometry.

Beyond the circle, I visualise the space between death and rebirth.
